Typically, the statute of limitations for a car accident is 2 years from the date of the incident. Seek medical treatment expeditiously, document costs involved and notify your employer if unable to work. If the accident was caused due to product liability, the statute is once again usually 2 years.
If injuries occur, call 911 immediately; otherwise call the police as documenting the accident is important. Next, if able, collect names, addresses, driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration information and the contact info of all parties involved, including the other driver(s), passengers and witnesses. Document license plate and VIN numbers and take pictures of the scene including damage to the car, traffic conditions and other visual markers. Lastly, notify your insurance company of the accident while never accepting fault.
I am sorry that you feel that way. In my case they really helped me and are working to do the best that they can. I was so closed to loose my house and they gave me an advance to cover my mortgage I was behind. I highly recommend them.
