I've been there with my Best friend and I loved it at the time. I had a few associates who were already into karate and so and so and had belts and sashes, so it was a pleasure to get a free pass to visit and participate that one day. This was back in 2013, I think but every so often I am nearby and would like to visit again Kim Soo. Thank you.

My son has learnt a lot of discipline from this skills and it has given him confidence. Respect Master Kim for his patience and response. The only downside I had is with the billing department and notifications and it’s always been a troublesome for me.

I had heard about this style of martial arts. I was interested in knowing more and having a wah lum background I politely spoke to a sifu (sorry is it sensei?) was asking how it differs just general martial art questions, northern southern style, hybrid style, modern style or traditional. I asked everything repectfully and have always greeted him when our paths cross. I don't know fully what was mumbled but it was along, wah lum, 6 years I've done it my whole life, like you have something to teach me or swap techniques. I do not understand as I thought teacher's liked to teach if the person is genuinely interested and is being respectful. (plus a snort about my grandmaster). If I did something wrong let me know please but the control humility part of martial arts was treated like, HOW DARE YOU APPROACH A MASTER!! Other than that heard it was a good style, so 4 stars, 5 if I attended and I didn't get a older sifu well master on the outside of the class turns out to be angry if approached and spoke to, or even suggesting maybe he has a technique I couldn't necessary learn in a chinese martial art and his japanese martial art (Hard vs hard it usually karate), maybe something I could show (but I am not sure if you don't already know the moves Thank you, and good luck in your martial art journeys

Chayon Ryu is the #1 martial arts in Houston. Whether you practice karate or taekwondo, the instruction, practice, and discipline at Kim Soo Karate are life-changing.

The school does have some DVDs available, but is focused on in-class instruction, not solo training in one's living room. Tai Chi is not part of the curriculum; it is based primarily on karate, hapkido, Kung Fu, and Taekwondo.
There is usually an introductory offer. I would call and find out. They're great people and would be happy to help you.
By visiting the school, and speaking with the Mrs. Kim or her son Mr. Shawn Kim. For the school's hours visit their website. The day I recommend to visit would be Wednesdays.
