I am going to try to give an honest review because I think it helps people decide if they will fit into this parish. I hope I don't hurt any feelings I go to the 8:30 Mass on Sunday mornings. I get there early to pray and prepare myself for Mass. Overall, it is a prayerful atmosphere, but there are 4 -5 older ladies who sit on the front row who seem to think this is a good time to catch up with each other on what is going on in their lives. While I understand the need for community and each other, it is HUGE distraction for those of us who came to pray and prepare ourselves for the amazing experience of the Mass. I wish someone would ask them to please take their social time outside the Church. The choir is amazing. They have beautiful voices and are obviously very gifted. But, the vocal gymnastics used to show their talent make it a bit difficult for those of us who are not musically gifted to participate in the Mass. So, it is a trade off, you gain the blessing of hearing beautiful voices, but unless you are equally talented, you lose the blessing of being able to fully participate in the Mass. The priest: Okay, this is a tough one for me and a HUGE issue. The only reasons I know the name of the parish priest are that it is printed in the bulletin and either the guest celebrant thanks him for allowing him to be there or the deacon thanks the guest celebrant for coming. This parish priest almost never celebrates Mass with his parish. I have been going to Mass over 2 months and have seen him 2 or 3 times. I don't know what is up with that, but it makes it hard for me. The deacons are all very reverent and respectful. I enjoy hearing them read the Gospel and most of their homilies The atmosphere during Communion is amazing. I love it. Everyone seems to understand the gravity of receiving the body of Christ and that is refreshing. The parish offers a lot of ways to get involved and seems to be very welcoming

It is traditional but very contemporary homlies. I was just visiting and went with my sister in law and everyone was very welcoming. There are lots of families and groups that meet on a regular basis to continue to be nourished by The Word of God
