Connecticut is where I am from, where there is a Dominican salon is in every city just about. I’ve always gotten blow outs with relaxed hair, but have been natural for 4 years this February. Dolores was the woman that did my blowout, she definitely exceeded any expectations that I had. I’m not passionate about doing hair anymore, and I consider natural hair a task to maintain. I thought the woman that washed my hair was ripping every hair out of my scalp, but to be fair I don’t often detangle. I have no excuses other than it hurts, with work starting at 5:30am for me it’s easier to brush in a ponytail. My only complaint is that that woman that washes the hair should properly learn how to detangle hair. I was thoroughly impressed to see my hair in the middle of my back. I normally only straighten my hair yearly (2nd time for my natural hair) to check the length, but open to just wearing it straight due it being a little difficult to maintain on my own. The hair of my hair comes first…so I’ll see how it goes! My first time there and definitely won’t be my last! Thank you! Edit** Went back two and half weeks later, and the person that didn’t my hair prior, told me her name was Delores. Apparently there is no one there by that name. I honestly don’t like how the lady yanks out your hair went washing it…she doesn’t take your time. Natural hair Queens beware, I was told that my hair can’t do rollers…which is a lie, I’ve had it before. I got another blow out…which is too much heart for the time frame. Maritza burned my scalp, my first experience…she took her time! Stop with the rat tail Combs with natural hair..the teeth of the comb is way too small for what to get through natural curls! I won’t be returning! I’m not a fan of my intelligence being insulted. Dominican don’t know natural hair, our hair is at times similar, but not enough to be educated on what my hair is capable of and not. Edit: there is some sort of straighten agent in their products…for months my hair was falling out in chunks as of it was craving a relaxer! Please beware! Definitely not worth the damage!

I care for my own hair , however; I am unable to maintain trimmed and healthy ends on my own. I found this salon in desperation one Sunday after an impromptu at home hair maintenance session. I was glad I was able to get a quality service in a jiffy. The staff is primarily Spanish speaking, but there was someone there to convey what I was in search of.

Older Lady that did my hair was so gently. Would ask was I ok multiple times and made sure I left with my hair looking nice and sleek!!I’ve been here a few times and have had my hair blown out by different workers that always get to close to my scalp with the heat, not this time! Will continue to go the same lady from now on!!

Rude customer service! They should have at least one person that understands English to answer the phone. I see they close at 7:30 so I just called to see what time they stop taking people because I wanted to come in at 6:30pm(because I get off work at 6:15pm) and get my hair washed/dried and ends clipped. The lady on the phone told me she was owner and kept saying "come now we not busy", I kept telling her "ma'am, I am at work right now. " So we went back and forth saying the same thing for like 2 minutes and she said "I don't understand what you're saying and hung up' and wouldn't answered when I called back.
