Got taken off the Denton housing all because, I couldn't find a unit and couldn't get anymore extensions all the apartment's that I had applied for put me on a waiting list it took me 3months looking and no one had anything available they kept saying waiting list. They could of had least waited until I found something before they took me off. my guess is that's how everything works in Denton if you don't find an apartment at a certain time your off the housing section 8 voucher program.it's just sad that I didn't get a chance to move to Denton from Dallas..I want be applying no more it takes forever to even get another voucher like 5 to 10 yrs or longer.

Yes, it's your number on the waiting list and how many are ahead of you. Have you called recently, and checked your number ?
I really don't know. Call Fort Worth Housing or Tarrant County Housing.
When you signed up, you should have received an email with information that will allow you to check the status of where you are on the list. Otherwise, call the housing authority and someone should be able to answer your questions.
