I would not take my dog there the place smells like urine. The rooms look nothing like what is advertised on the website. I recommend you find some other place to take your loved one.

At best I can describe this place as depressing. Bring your loved ones here and they will bait and switch you immediately. You will tour the pretty part, but you’ll soon find your mom or dad in a sad, empty, neglected room. The common areas are often unkept, filled with clearly stranded residents who appear lost. The smell of waste is present. The equipment they use is often broken or breaks soon after provided to your loved one. We went through multiple beds in a matter of weeks. Minimal staff interaction with the exception of nice people at the front desk. Not sure if they don’t pay their employees enough or if they just hire people who don’t seem to care but people deserve more care and compassion.

I do not recommend this place. They are very in-compassionate and will treat your loved one like a business. The beds are broken and the rooms are dated. You tour nice remodeled rooms then you get put in a different room with broken and very dated things.

I must be at a different Parkwood staff is nice enough but bed is hard, toilet is confining, and one meal out of four is edible. Because I am not double vaccinated (which no doctor recommended ) I cannot leave the room to do group anything. No alternative is available for the vaccination they require Will be glad to be out of this jail and warn everyone be sure you are explained rules up front

Parkwood Healthcare | Oct 19, 2021

Yes, spouses can live together. In fact, it is common for married couples to need different types of care as they age. Often, one partner needs more help, while the other takes on a caregiver role. That’s why it’s important to find an assisted living community with a special focus on keeping couples together. We pride ourselves on our ability to meet married couples needs.
