Great place. Good beach for children to swim and play. Platform for you to swim out to and jump off of. Good fishing. My only complaint would be that there are some riff raff that hang out there. Just know going in that you're going to have to be around morons drinking and smoking and just being trash. Wish there was a bit more security to remove those kinds of people. But I understand that it would be difficult to police the area constantly. Especially on weekends. During the week isn't that crowded. Overall a good experience though.

This lake is great for a quiet day away from everyone. There is no cell signal from Verizon or AT&T at the lake. There is a day cost if you aren’t staying at the park. The bathrooms need some work but it is an old park. They have different events and programs in the park on a regular basis. They also have a pavilion and several picnic tables along with a few grills. They also allow fishing in the pond but I don’t know if there is anything in the pond worth catching. Definitely check it out and enjoy the day down here.

Beautiful and quiet place! You can see Pulpit Rock from below and also the Vista Cliffside Restaurant. We went on the Lake trail which doesn't go around the lake but uphill - it can be challenging and we only went to the waterfall and back.

Awesome views of Mt. Cheaha and the southern part of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Peaceful lake with a beach and fresh mountain water. Great swimming! Also a diving platform and Interpretive Center.
