Surrounded by dealers and drunks on my main road to the park. Not a safe place at all to allow children for any reason. There was a group speeding through the parking lot in 80's model Chevrolet cars issuing threats is the people don't leave the parking lot

MISSES WRIGHT

I went there to shoot some hoops with my son. Suited up. Hype. Game time. Ready to ball. Huge park. Lots of fields. Soccer, baseball, maybe peewee football? Couldn't quite tell. Picnic area. Very nice recreational spot...WITH NO BASKETBALL COURT!!!! I wonder why? In the middle of a prodominantly black neighborhood what would be the reason to NOT include a basketball court at a park or recreational area so big? Is it purposely to dessuade us from congregating or overpopulating the park or having contests or events like at other popular courts around the country? I just don't get it. Why can't I find a basketball hoop at the parks in my neighborhood?

My Sun plays sports with VLPR and I enjoyed helping his soccer coach and enjoyed watching he and his baseball team win the championship for the 5-6 yo 2019 fall league! Great park, could use some additional resources but...

It's peaceful and not crowded. The parking lot and tables are close to the play area.
