I was planning to open up an account here. I was told that they will hold my checks for 9 days. Yes, 9 days. Can you believe someone is working with your money for 9 days? Highway robbery? Well, guess what, they did not get my account. Keep this in mind when you plan to open an account.

Robert, I agree with Belinda, I have been a member for almost forty years and everytime I have contacted Sierra Central Credit Union, either in person or by phone I have received excellant service. I would recommend calling first and ask your question to include what documents if any you might need to provide so as to save you making additional trips.
I believe our membership was a hold on $5 in a savings account. We've been with them for almost 20 years.
