I am not able to leave 0 stars or I would. Both my wife and I used Waxahachie Family Dentistry in a month. They ran our insurance, produced estimates with out of pocket just over $1,200. It was steep but we decided to have the work done. Then about a month later we were sent another round of bills for just over $700. That is to say, the business charges us nearly $2000 and also billed our insurance company. I contacted the front office who said this was due to failure of insurance to pay. I called the insurance company who informed me that the offices were not in network (WFD did not disclose this at the time of estimates) and the prices being charged to the insurance company were 2-4X what was 'normal and customary'. The insurance company confirmed that the office would have known they were not in network, their pricing was not going to be honored, and should have disclosed that prior to treatment. Find a dentist office that is reputable and honest. The office staff did not follow any professional or ethical guidelines and misled our family racking up thousands in additional costs unnecessarily.
