"Technically", "closed" meetings are for those who have a "desire to stop drinking". "Open" meetings are for any one interested in learning more about AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) or alcoholism in general. If you are curious I suggest you try the Saturday 8:00 PM "Speaker Meeting". It is a great introduction to AA, Stillwaters and 12 Step recovery.
