This place is fantastic, the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, the place is beautiful and shiny, you can see all the care the members have taken to the place so that people can experience their mind using methods given by the Buddha. Love and friendship can make great things happen.

Hi Arleta, The Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Chicago doesn't have housing, we only offer public meditations. Hope this helped and please let us know if and when you are planning on visiting. All the best, Your Chicago sangha

Is there a new location? Also I see this is only for families working full-time? So this mean you have to be working full-time?

Hi there. Yes, the new location is up on our google listing and website. 3717 N Ravenswood, unit 212. We are still in the process of setting the space up, so aren't hosting meditations right now. Should be another couple weeks (i.e. mid-October 2021). We'll have the info on our website when ready. No, we're not just for full time working families. That sentence is meant to communicate that we're not a monastic community. Certainly you can come regardless of your current state of employment or if you're single, married, or any status.

Do you have a charity service like housing services?

No.

I am from from rural Ohio and will be visiting relatives in your neighborhood this upcoming weekend. I have always had desires and beliefs of Tibetan Buddhism and want to learn much more about practicing my beliefs. Do I need an appointment?

Hi Mike, if you're here on Friday we have public meditation at 8pm with a short explanation and guided meditation. If on the weekend we can try and make arrangements to meet with someone and get explanations.
