Garnet Hill is known as one of the worst facilities to put your love ones from my personal experience.. My dad caught COVID19 and he was in a room by himself and was total care. He could not walk. I would see the techs hanging their used PPE’s in his closet to reuse after wearing them outside of his room. During my dad stay at Garnet Hill he would have at least one ER visit a month due to negligence. I could go on and tell the horrible things that goes on in this lovely building, just know that no matter what staff does to you family members from administration , Director of Nursing on down to the techs; they will not tell you the truth. The DIRECTOR OF NURSING treated my family less than what she treats her dog. And she loves her dog as she brings it to show. I wish she could show some of that compassionate to the residents. The FEDS need to send in an under cover resident. You are warned. One star is to high of a rating. Blessings

My 90 yr old mother was at Garnet Hill Rehab for three short days. The staff there were exemplary - both nursing staff and the CN aides and care givers. The place has a great ambience and plenty of activities for the residents should they choose / are able to participate. Everyone is very friendly and helpful from the Admissions Director to the person cleaning the rooms. Thank you for the great care.

Terrible. My mother was sent here to rehab, no one greeted her when she arrived, and things went from bad to worse from there. She incessantly called me, claiming no one would come to her aid to help her to use the restroom, and was frightened and upset. She was in a state where it would be dangerous to walk alone, hence the reason she was there - to be watched! I called the nurse, and after a rude introduction, he seemed extremely bothered that I was taking up his time, while I was simply trying to express my concern of her needing assistance to walk to the restroom. A few hours later I receive a call in the middle of the night that she had attempted to walk on her own, ultimately falling and breaking her hip. We are heartbroken over this incident. The reason she was there was for the fact that she was to be watched and be safe. We where worried to have her at home for the exact reason that we could not monitor her at night. Not even 12 hours after admission, she has a broken hip, and her life is forever changed.
