My kid’s school sent me there today to ask about a winter coat for him. Amber immediately went to hunting down the right person. No coats available currently. Donna introduces herself and asks my “non-verbal” autistic kid what color coat he wants. He said “green”! Sounds like nothing, but a happy moment for us. What DID arrive was a sweater, hoodie, couple t-shirts, pants, shorts, toiletries, an electric toothbrush, socks, underwear and a book in a brand new, GREEN back pack! He needed ALL of the above. And Donna says to come back Monday or Tuesday for my boy’s green winter coat (“Even if I have to dye it!”🥹). My son received a huge, and needed, blessing today. I felt that Amber and Donna truly want to help everyone as much as they possibly can. My experience was outstanding. If you need help, even if your not sure of exactly what to ask for, I encourage you to try.

Yesterday I was calling due to my SNAP benefits. After 4 hours and 8 minutes on hold, they had a recording saying they were having technical issues followed by hanging up on me. I was livid. Here I am right now at 40 minutes on hold (I called at 8a) so we’ll see when/if they answer my call today.

Never had an issue here and been coming here for help for 10 years. I always leave with what I need. Jenifer Lauderdale use to be my caseworker when I was on TANF and she is the BEST. always available when I need her. Always offering help and resources. She does what she says she will do and She genuinely cares. This office really is great but if u need help it’s best to get off your butts and go in. So many negative reviews because ppl are upset about being on hold for a long time.. ppl who actually go in have to wait so of course you will need to wait also. You don’t get to bypass everyone else just because u called.. but if you put in the time I promise you will get the help that you need. And if you need tanf, hopefully you get Jen lauderdale as your caseworker because she is ABSOLUTELY the best. She will not leaving you hanging at all. I will forever be grateful for her.

I called and waited on hold. I got someone on the line and they directed my call somewhere else. I waited on hold some more. After being on hold for an hour I was hung up on. What kinda system are you all running? This is pathetic.

I know what you mean they are so busy I called earlier today but they really do get back
Government agencies are always closed on weekends, except for the USPS. They're only closed sundays.
Marion House has a form for you. Acronym is ivspdat. This is THE way to go for anyone homeless who wants off of the street. Get a free meal while you're there. Good luck.
There are multiple fax numbers for the various departments within the G&G DHS location- go to https://humanservices.elpasoco.com/ and take a look to help you determine where to start :)
Lowest like how
Go online (Library is free) and fill out your application there, rather than picking up a paper application at the DHS offices. It's much quicker to submit online. Upon completion, then visit DHS office & ask for a "pink ticket" and wait to be called. Even if your application isn't completed or processed yet, you should be able to pick up an EBT card & set a pin#. Once DHS completes your application, any benefit amounts will show up on your card & can then immediately be used, rather than waiting until after everything's sent via mail. FYI... Also, try submitting any documentation requested, using the online account that you'll create when starting the application process. It allows you to scan & upload images and files that are generally needed to complete the process (ie: pay stub, bank account statement, DL or State ID, utility bills, proof of address and/or residency, social security benefit letter if on disability) This will save you time, effort and trips into the DHS offices.
Not sure, every case is different and you would have to take that up with your caseworker
Depends on the help you're looking for. There are food, medical, and cash assistance programs in DHS (Department of Human Services). And if you're looking for employment help there is Pikes Peak Workforce Center.
If the house is under your name i would think so.. weather you make money or not off of it the payment has to still be made out to you...
After applying online they will mail you an approval letter or you can create a Colorado peak account and you can find your approval letter under the mail tab or benefits tab. Hope this helps!
I don't think so but u can always ask for one.
Yes
Is the 17yr old missing school because of watching the 4 and 5 year old? Is the 17 yr old mature enough to handle the children?
Apply online or in the office. Turn in paperwork with that
You can go to the peak website. I'm not sure the full web address but you can look it up. I think its colorado/peak.gov
I think so for your food stamps
Email pictures to case/intake worker
