Sales for HPB are way down due to the pandemic, with at least 2 local stores set to close in the coming months. It takes lots of money to keep the store open longer. It's great they're still in business at all.

Yes ..you must have a ID ..stay in the store till they call your name on intercom & make you a offer and most stores have a limit on how much you can bring in.. which is 2 file cabinet drawers full..or 2 storage bins worth .

That's a question you need to call them directly with. They have a huge inventory of books. If they don't have it in stock at this particular store they could check other locations for you.

I found that selling books at any of the half-price bookstores if you take in a bunch of books they will give you a lower price for them and if you take in just a few at a time they give you a higher price for them and the same goes for used DVDs and that type of thing also and so my recommendation would be to take in no more than a dozen at a time because they do give you a lower price if you take in too many good luck

I was in HPB a few weeks ago and overheard the employee at the book buying desk "squeezing" people without appointments in between people with appointments. He expressed it wasn't their preference, but sounds like they might be willing to help if possible. I'm guessing this also depends on the location.

As mentioned, contacting the directly is recommended. My experience with their buy program: Much of what they buy depends on the value of potential resale. If the testing study material is out of date or irrelevant, they may offer to recycle rather than purchase the material. The offered prices are based on genre, turn-over of genre, and supply. The offers will be only a fraction of the value they think they can sell the book. And those prices can vary from store to store.

The legal letter boxes(normally white) at office depot, staples, etc are cheap, and are great for moving.

They do not have public computers available but right down the street at Lovers Lane and Greenville like 2 minutes away there is FedEx where you can print and use computer.
