This beautiful preserve is one of my favorite places to explore in the city of Phoenix. It has winding paved paths and also desert trails you can follow that take you to this pond. We have seen many frogs, ducks, and a cardinal or two over the years we have been coming here. My one complaint is the many dog walkers that don't pick up after their pets or leave their poop bags abandoned on the sides of the trails. Please respect the beauty of this preserve and take your trash out with you.

So many bullfrogs, it was funny to watch my dogs reaction to the croaking and jumping

The walk from the parking area to Bullfrog Pond was flat, but there was no shade.

No, it is not legal to fish at this pond. Anyway there are no large fish, only mosquito fish.
If you park in that area off of Tatum Road on the east side just south of Mayo Boulevard you can walk or bicycle on the cement Trail East to the asphalt Trail. Then go South. That will wrap around a little and lead you to the pond
