As a employee of the city, I have had the privilege of watching our Utilities Customer Service Staff from "behind the scenes". Sometimes dealing with an overwhelming number of calls, they always strive for promptness and kindness even in the most difficult circumstances. Thank you Team. My trash can was lost during a storm, simple one call resolve. Woman I spoke to was very friendly. I also read the other reviews and see many upset about water or other utilities not turned on same day on move ins. Did these people not realize they were moving? Call for any services in advance like I did. My services were all on when i moved in since I planned it.

Goodyear Utilities is getting a bad review due to the fact that they do not provide any services like stoping or starting service due to a move over the phone or in person. They also do no send a follow up/confirmation email or receipt to you once you have put in the application to end service. Once an application has been submitted to stop service there is no way to really know whether the request has been processed. They expect you, their customer, to wait 3 business days to get a confirmation email once the request has been fully processed. This is not assuring especially during a transition. Just not very “user friendly” especially for those that are not internet savvy. I have been checking my email daily, going on day two, worried that my request to end service has not been processed. A confirmation receipt should be sent out as soon as the order is placed. Also, was told that they will not back date the last day of service even though our family moved out of from our home 3 days ago.
