I have to admit that I've also had mixed to negative experiences with some of the service staff there, especially with my doctor's practice, Ambler Medical Associates. I was trying to coordinate a metabolic blood test prior to my cat scan with my doctor's office. After leaving four messages and getting no reply, I stopped by the office and spoke to someone in person. She was unpleasant and close to hostile, and told me I didn't need blood tests because I had had one in July (this was for an entirely different procedure). I finally convinced her to contact my doctor. She called back later that afternoon and told me that my doctor had put in an order for a metabolic panel. But getting information from her was like pulling teeth -- did I need to fast, etc.? I realize it's August and a lot of people are away, and that this is a difficult time to work in a doctor's office. But it's not the easiest time to be a patient either, especially when you confront an attitude like this.

I visited this location for a blood test today, 8/27/2020. The front desk person was very polite and efficient. The lady taking the blood was task-focussed, unempathetic and quite frankly rude. She made a comment that took me aback re the difficulty of getting the needle into my arm. I will choose not to use this location again!

First, I must say I've been a patient with Abington Medical for about five years now and I can honestly say that after today's experience, I plan to be with them for a very long time (God willing!). That being said, after a communication mixup between offices (Blue Bell and Ambler), I was truly stuck. However, out of the kindness of their heart, I was able to visit my doctor (on his own time) just to satisfy my medical needs. I have never dealt with a more professional, caring and kinder group of individuals within a family practice environment in my life. Dr. Gregory Haas is an excellent doctor who not only listens to you as a person, but also actually cares enough to help in whatever way he can to both better your health and lifestyle. In my opinion, that makes an excellent person as well - and Dr. Haas is certainly an excellent Doctor who truly cares about his patients - he is a true professional at all times. I would like to thank the entire office as well for all of your help and until next time, wish you all the best!
