My wife and I have been happily married 54 years and we moved into Truewood by Merrill in Scottsdale, Arizona the last part of March 2022. Why here? After my wife fell and broke her hip, we needed help. My family started researching for over 2 months, interviewing, and touring many facilities from Southern California to Colorado, Utah, Nevada and Arizona. They were looking for a place that would allow me to continue living with my wife, even though she was beginning to show signs of dementia. Thankfully, Truewood by Merrill met all our requirements. • Affordability • Professionalism • Kind, courteous and loving staff • Good food rating • Mobile Medical professionals • Nearby Hospital • Cleanliness. A special thank you to Christina Moreno - Community Director, Karla Johnson - Community Relations Director, Florence Myers - Business Office Director and especially Joann Pawlowski – General Manager for working so closely with our family to make preparation for our successful move in. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the dining room waiters, Victor, McKayla, Taylor and Chelsie. They all have memorized our names, our food and beverage preferences and their service goes above and beyond. The food is delicious! And let me tell you that every single caregiver here shows personal attention to us. They are kind, loving and yet very professional. Even the folks assigned to pick up the trash, and distribute mail and parcels are kind and friendly. If you have a need, don’t look any further. Truewood by Merrill is the place you want to be.

Truewood is my home. I love the people, the food, the security, and the community. The food is really good, I feel safe here. I have met so many good friends here. Everyone is friendly and the activities are great. I have lived here for 2 years and this is where I feel at home. I highly recommend Truewood. I cannot think of one thing that I do not like - I love it here.

I have been down here since December 2021, the location is really great, the staff is very responsive to my needs. The people here have wonderful stories to share and are enjoyable to be with. Truewood is great, they provide wonderful events and activities for me to participate in. There is always something fun happening here. There are entertainers that come in and provide some great enjoyable entertainment. I am having a great time here, the team is amazing! I am close to everything that I need here. I have made some great friends.

I needed to move my mother from Ohio to Scottsdale to live closer to us. I started the search online as most people do and found a site called A Place for Mom which lead me to Truewood by Merrill. What I immediately loved about it was the comfortable size of the facility. I felt not too big and not to small...Just right !....Krisinta helped me through the intros of the facility and each person I met took the time to say hello & introduce themselves. I believe you can tell a lot by meeting people face to face . By the end of the first meeting I felt like the team truly wanted to help the residents & enjoyed their jobs. We even found out about a VA program that could help support my mother's stay. It been 3 months and everyone has been great and most important my mother loves the place and has already made many new friends. I would highly recommend Truewood by Merrill !
