Looks beautiful but very sad because I saw no kids or families playing there. Seems to be a gathering point for homeless people. It made me really sad because all the people I met there looked defeated which is a stark opposite of EMANCIPATION

It is a large and very good park. In the games area on the floor you will find tartan. In other words, it is a soft floor that makes you feel like you are floating when you walk, let alone run. There is a cultural area, a gym, even a swimming pool. You can also enjoy a small baseball field that looks to be in very good condition. Those games seem to need a bit of maintenance.
Hello Willie, Emancipation Park Conservancy is a historical park. No one resides in the actual park. However the park is located in Houston, Texas and is located in Third Ward community of Texas. Currently the third ward community has over 15k residents. I hope this helps.
It is free and open to the public but you will have to register the first time you go. Take your license with you to register and you will get a fitness center ID to use each time you go.
