I had my mammogram today. It isn’t my first. I had the WORST experience. It was so incredibly painful. When I mentioned it the tech said it’s ok. It has to be that hard or we will miss the cancer. It was so tight I couldn’t breathe. I was in tears when I left and had to sit in my car for awhile until I stopped crying. I was sore for half an hour after the scan. It is breast cancer awareness month. I encourage people to get their exams. But we need to have a better way of doing this. It is horrible torture. (It was this time, previous times were ok)I don’t think I’ll be able to ever do it again. (This was at Northpointe)

Update: all the tests came back quickly. What a awesome experience! Rikki is the bomb! She really is! She made my very scary, test day awesome! Walked in, checked in, waited less than ten minutes. Was called back by Rikki. The test it's self, was easy peasy. Rikki was gentle and very through. I really appreciate her calming style. The front office was awesome. Rikki was awesome! Waiting for results. It is a very busy place. When I came out of the examination, the whole waiting room was full and people were waiting out the door. Have patience. They are trying as hard as they can. I highly recommend this awesome place and the people there.

Would have given 5 stars if the girls at the check in desk were a little nicer. I won't make a big fuss but it seemed some people were more welcome than others if you know what I mean. A friendly smile and pleasant vocal tone can help bring healing and make one feel life is worthwhile.

Absolutely ridiculous. I went in for an ultrasound today with dual insurance coverage, and because the staff didn’t listen to my instructions on how to verify my primary insurance, they let me wait an hour past my appointment time with a full bladder for an ultrasound. I literally put them on the phone with my insurance after they claimed to be unable to verify coverage, and even after the rep told them I have coverage they said that wasn’t good enough because they couldn’t verify it with their system. I also had secondary insurance they knew was active, but they treated me like some kind of scam artist and were so disrespectful and condescending. Would never go back there, the front desk girls are so snotty and the whole staff is incompetent.

Good morning Lynn! We do not offer these exams at our California Imaging Institute facility but do them at our sister facility Advanced Medical Imaging on Fresno Street. You can call them to schedule with a doctor's order at (559) 447-4018.
