The most classic American Chinese restaurant ever. Take a pilgrimage to Butte and dine here. The smells when you walk up the steps made me feel like I was being transported back in time. Presentation, flavor, friendly, family meal. Tasty. Noodles in light broth instead of rice. Wow. And they have a bar with cool cocktails. Amazing unforgettable experience.

Do Not EAT Here - Expensive Tourist Location - The food is made in large batches & you are served the base with whatever you order - chicken, shrimp, pork, etc on top. I could find a dish that was cooked-to-order & I looked in the kitchen & at those eating.

Kind of expensive for the portion sizes, the ginger beef was very good, fried rice was quite good and nothing was bad. Interesting experience

Questions & Answers

Is this the longest running Chinese restaurant in America?

Gabriel Vega | Apr 21, 2022

Yes it is. Also has been in the same family for all these years. I live here in Butte and the history of people that have eaten here is very interesting. I believe this is the upstairs Chinese restaurant that Teddy Roosevelt talked about in his bio, from his first visit to Butte.

Is there a tour of another city under Butte,Mt

Richard Button | Oct 19, 2018
Jim Ward | Oct 19, 2018

It's still Butte but yes there is. The whole city was filled one story in the streets to accommodate street car placement in the early 1900s following their debut in the world fair. At the time Butte rivaled many large cities in population and amenities.

When are you open?
