Giving 4 out of 5 because of the construction and lack of concession selection currently. Otherwise the newly relodeled half is very clean and nice. I miss the old GQT because they had the best rewards program and nachos in the game! Heated reclining seats are nice but shut off every few minutes. And the cuddle seats are right under the screen so aside from that idea being cringy as it is, there's no way to enjoy a movie like that. Terrible idea in my opinion. Look forward to the finished remodel and I'll update my review then.

It’s nice to see Kevin’s familiar face, he’s been “the keeper” of our movie going experience since I was a teenager and as people came and went and even the twins moved on there’s been LOTS of growth and change, both good and bad. There was a time when families that could scarcely afford the tickets for the movies could come with Mom’s “purse” in tow packed lovingly with all the delights from the dollar store. The rule of thumb seemed to be as long as admission was paid for staff looked the other way knowing that was the right thing to do. Now more than ever I hope they continue with some exceptions. There are still plenty of other folks that gladly pay for $22 couples combos and $5 boxes of candy without the blink of an eye. I bring this up only as an example as I stood in line reading the “Code of conduct” sign in a very, very long line it occurred to me the theater as a whole has some big shoes to fill. I will mention the staff, though visibly cramped waiting for their turn at the single popcorn station kept calm under pressure. Kudos! I’m looking forward to seeing the finished lobby and how well the designers balanced both form and function.

Best theater in the area!

Awesome place!! The seats were amazing and well worth the price. Actually the prices were cheaper than I thought. They are doing a great job

Really if you are a younger student then you really just need to ask for the student price. They probably wont ask you for student identification, but have it ready just in case. Also go on Tuesdays, its $6 or less
Yes they have gift cards for both movies and concessions. They also have a "frequent movie goer" card.
It all depends on which type of movie you go to see Jacye, keep in mind this theater has regular viewings of movies, imax, imax+3D, GDX, etc. Ticket prices will vary.
I would imagine they would be, but I think you should call them and ask, just to be sure.
No
Giant Digital Experience (GDX). It's the extra large screen, super comfy seats and better quality sound. It's a better version then standard.
You may need to look up the latest matinee movie schedule online to see the movie and what time it's playing.
I don't know. You would have to call or search on your phone, but Tuesday's are 6.00 dollars all day😃😃. That's good for my budget.
The site has all movies and days showing currently.
Prices actually very depending on the movie, the size of the crowd, and the location of the theater. You would have to go on the website and get a consultation with a manager about this
No
It's now Emagine portage
I know they are playing the new Halloween movie on release
They havent put anywhere, at least that I have seen, an official date. They just say "coming soon" so I will ask when I am up there next to get some answers possibly! I am so excited for it myself!
When we went there a week ago they have a sign up. They will be putting them in.When I asked they are doing it at night when closed.
Yes, it's open and under new management. Emagine Entertainment. The theater does have IMAX but Emagine calls it EMAX. Which sounds like something similar to the "IMAX" in Schererville. I have been there to watch a movie but not EMAX, so judge for yourself.
We purchased our tickets inside at the kiosk
Yes
No
According to their Facebook page, they won't be limiting seats per say, instead they are encouraging spacing between parties in the theater and implementing new cleaning procedures.
On Google it says 10:30 am, but you could call or go there to confirm 🙂.
I think there's 6 bucks
Give the Cinema a call. Just a patron of seeing movies
GQT Tuesdays All Movies on Tuesday (Premium charge for 3D, IMAX, GDX and D-BOX will be applied. Not available on holidays or movie premieres. Further discounts with GQT Rewards™.) Movies are $7.00

I believe it's for "Giant Digital eXperience." It's how Goodrich Quality Theaters brand theaters with IMAX screens.
Yes and between 4 and 6 you get double commissions.
Next Thursday? That's the Fourth of July dude.
This is on the website, so you should be able to find out 2moro. "Movies and showtimes are normally released on Tuesday afternoons for the opening weekend." https://www.goodrichqualitytheaters.com/indiana/portage-16-imax-gdx
That's a bit farther then I would like to travel to see a movie....but thanks Jeff, I appreciate your response.
The adult needs to stay with the child
Popcorn is a 50 cent refill, but most of the time the person behind the register gives it on the house. Soda refills are done manually through the drink machines, meaning drinks are free.
$18.00 for 2 people large popcorn and 2 large drinks
No, they don't unfortunately
I'm sure their a a fee that work there that speak Spanish
I am not sure you might Google the movie and theater.
Tues afternoon they will post the lineup for the coming week and. Hope this helps.
If u go on their website you can purchase tickets (or pretend you are to see the prices). Also, imax movies have reserved seats there, so it's a good idea to buy the tickets online as you'll get a better seat than waiting until you get to the theater.
Not sure. They have a senior discount so I have to admit my age
6:40 & 9:00 today other daily yes on their website. Enjoy
Yes, that movie will be showing this week. Check the Fandango website.

Unfortunately I'm not sure.
Yes, i use my moviepass there all the time. At the kiosk, click on booking id , enter your moviepass code and your ticket will print. If you prefer you can also get your ticket at the counter.
Anywhere from $5 & up, depending on day, time going and whether you are a child, adult or Senior.
They have two rooms for parties. Small one is $30 and the large one is $50. And I think its for 4hours.
The normal price would be an adult ticket, but if your 15-year-old has a school ID they can get a discount that depends on the time of day. Student tickets cost $7.25 before 4pm, $7.75 after 6pm (And 4-6 pm, all tickets are $6.25)
The gdx theater has 48 surround speakers and is in HD, but it is a smaller screen compared to the iMax
Look it online on the Cinemark website to see if this movie is playing on what day and time.
Call theatre and ask
It's the D-Box. The chair you sit & watch work have effects. They have couple chairs in the theatre that you can experience what is it.
Gdx is on a wider screen then avg but not as big as IMAX, sound also improved but again not quite as good as IMAX.
