Place is nice, save your money go else where! Brainerd area is beautiful and tons of better campsites. The park Rangers have nothing better to do the bother campers for music, campfires, boating, sitting at the beach...etc DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME IT'S LIKE A OUTDOOR DETENTION CENTER!!!

Awesome place they have one if the best playgrounds in the area full of pink slides to all the little ones out there, they have big tennis courts small tennis courts Frisby golf and I finally found the best dog park in the area I'm going to add pictures this week

While most people who stay here are regulars or "locals", we came all the way from Alabama to visit family. This is a beautiful, well maintained campground with plenty to do. You can fish, bike, boat, swim, participate in ranger-led activities, or enjoy the resort town. The staff is very friendly, and the sites are large and spaced out. We really enjoyed our stay!

Alot of people go there on opener and fish both sides of the dam, if its the right day you can see most of them, and alot of crayfish aswell if your into that.

Sites are available exactly 6 months in advance. If you want to book starting August 2nd as an example, you'd have to book February 2nd. You can book up to 2 weeks at a time. If a site is reserved already that means someone booked earlier and may have booked the full two weeks.
Yes you can get a day pass or weekend pass to cover both. Its fairly cheap under $10 if I remember correctly
