They did not respond to the web reservation form so I called. I had to call several times to get a response which was “text me your dates”. So I did and didn’t get a response until I followed up. When We arrived the property was not at all as described in some reviews. Muddy roads and sites, trailer park vibes, it was not welcoming or nice at all. There was no one to check us in or make sure we got a site. We left and drove 3 hours to stay somewhere else.

The pool, game room , and plantation house is looking great. Things were messed up. It’s relaxing and always clean

So far so good. The place has damage from previous storm so I’m taking that into account with this review. That being said I don’t understand as to why the site would charge tax of over 50 dollars if you are paying via card and no tax for cash payments. Doesn’t seem legal to me but idk. The hot tub is pretty nasty and in need of cleaning, a lot of the entertainment room items such as the pool table, air hockey, arcade games, don’t function as they should. The laundry mat only accepts quarters and there isn’t any coin machines anywhere on property. With all this being said the gentleman that takes care of the place was very helpful with getting my camper into place and informing me of the items on site and to the location of them. Not a bad place but I was promised a full concrete pad and I paid for one but when I arrived all the concrete pads had been taken. The manager stated that after the holiday season he would gladly assist me in moving my camper to a concrete pad. After driving around The site I noticed a few open full concrete pads but when I mentioned them to him I was told that they were reserved for other visitors who were coming short term. WiFi worked great for the first week now it’s off and on alot. All in all I would stay here over some other places in the nearby area that cram people into small parking spots and hardly enough room to open slides, this site has large parking spots fully shaded by trees.

The owner Mark Anderson was very helpful and Debbie Jones who handles the day to day run of the place was amazing. Mark bought this property to save it and he is constantly working to make it his vision. the restaurant on site called the Crevasse has great food at very good prices. Cajun cooking at its best so thank Drew for that he is your chef. I stayed a month and never had to worry about anything. Very quiet and beautiful. close to New Orleans and Baton Rouge and other places. This park handles big rigs like Prevost and more. I will be back.

I can find out and let you know
Judge Poche built the home after the civil war
The small house beside the plantation house, an overseer's cabin, was built in the 1830's
I don't recall any tent site's, but plenty of RV sites. Give them a call or check out their website. Excellent place to stay. ;)
