My gf has a bum knee. How is the hike to the falls? Would you recommend not attempting? Rather not suggest a visit and she not be able to do it.

Short hike across the dam will get you to top of falls and it's very level. To get to bottom may present a little more of a challenge. Can either go down right by falls or trail just before the fall. Short but a little steep dirt trail and couple of 2 - 2.5 feet rock ledges to get down if going down by fall itself. Beautiful after some rain though! Hope this helps.

I wouldn't call it a hike really. It's not far at all. You walk across the dam for the lake and it's right there. You'll be standing at the top of the fall and there's a little trail to get to the bottom.
