I've been seeing Dr. Meyer (ENT) for perhaps a decade. He and the staff are absolutely the high healthcare standard to reach for. I've been at VA's all over the country, but can't speak enough to the care and character of folks there.

Had Surgery there, I found the Hospital and Staff to be heads and shoulders better than other VA hospitals I have been at except for Denver. Attitude is EVERYTHING at a VA facility and I found it to be excellent here. It's the kind of place I would Pay to go to.

Amazing nurse here named Whitney. She is so so so kind, caring, and compassionate. You can tell this is more than a job for her, itβs a purpose and something that she truly enjoys doing. Some people are put on this Earth to heal, comfort, and do such hard work that most cannot, and that is her. I hope that all patients here can experience her care, because it is something that is truly healing, even if itβs just spiritual healing.

Pain team is always helpful, from the janitor passing by, admins, drs, physical therapist, and scary nurses! (not scary!π€£). Everyone listens, cares and willing to stop and help no matter what, even if its just getting me to the restroom. Little things can seem like big things in an environment where you may not know what's going on next... Love that place and the true care I get.

If you enter through the ER they have a walk up desk outside and there is never a line. I think they start at 8am
Can also try calling the hot line number 1-800-273-8255
It's called the Fisher House. https://friendsoffisherhousecharleston.org/
Not totally sure, but you can call the VA directly at 843-577-5011.
Yes, as far as I know.
Best thing to do is come up here and speak to someone and find out what you are eligible for.
I'm sure that the facility won't do much for you. They'll probably send you to someone that can though.
