Beautiful modern library with great collection, especially for kids/teens. Very nice, helpful staff. Lots of programs for kids and adults. My kids love going to this library. Library was remodeled in 2020-2021 and it is such a bright inviting place to hang out and read

Late fees on almost everything are now 10 cents a day. Certainly all books! If you return the books in the outside bin on the south side of the building, they will be considered on when the bin is first emptied in the morning. In other words, if something is due today, it could still be returned after we close tonight, as long as it's there by, say, 6 am tomorrow. Thanks for asking!
No.
Yes. If the book is free of holds and is a renewable type you can renew it online. Hot Picks DVDs and Most Wanted Books are not renewable. Most items are renewable up to 3 times, except the display books which only allow for one renewal all of which you can do in your online account.
Yes, you can renew up to three times if no one else has requested the book. (And it's not considered a new book, display book, or a Most Wanted title)
Use the library website or call them to reserve a study room.
Yes.. From the library website: SUBURBAN RESIDENTS If you live in another town that is part of the RAILS public library system, bring your local library card and a photo ID that shows your name and current address in order to register that card with us. You need to enable that feature on you online account. Go to the Skokie Library website. Log on. You need to enable borrowing history in you settings.
Just ask them for a new one at the main dest.
I'd take the #97 Skokie CTA bus south, from there. Get off at Niles Center and Oakton(an office building is on the northeast corner too), and it's a block or 2 west of there. On the south side of the street, past (I believe) Skokie's village hall.
