A bit on the pricey side but it has a beautiful view of the lake! Its $63 just for the gondola. There is a second stop with other activities like a mini roller coaster but you need to but that at heavenly village before going up. It is a little colder at the top but there’s a gift shop with sweaters if you get too cold. One other warning, if the weather is bad they’ll send you back to the bottom with no refund. Ticket is also only good for one trip.

Heavenly is my favorite Tahoe ski resort, for the combination of terrain, access, and views. I don't love the California base, but the Boulder base and the Stagecoach base are easier to get up and down from. And Boulder has better parking. The lake views are the best, and it has a huge variety of terrain.

World renowned views of freshwater Lake Tahoe, North America's largest alpine lake. Spectacular, year round. Snow covered peaks in the winter, lush forests in the summer and crystal blue water all year round. 360° viewing. Slots on the pods for skis and boards. Very friendly, professional and patient staff. The gondola is not only for skiers and boarders. Everyone can ride the gondola. There is an observation deck. You can also take the gondola up to the amazing Tamarack Restaurant, for mountaintop dining (casual but delicious fare). 35' windows overlooking the ski runs.👌🏽

This is a one stop activity to enjoy Lake Tahoe. It’s located in very touristy Heavenly village. The gondola ride is almost 80 bucks (adult) in price but totally worth it. It is around 40 mins round trip with breathtaking views of blue Lake Tahoe with alpine trees and snow mountains. It has an observation deck for clicking photos and soaking in the view.

Yes, but only at the base of California Lodge or at the base of Stagecoach lodge.
It doesn't matter who you are, that is peak season and you will probably be paying peak rates.
As a Vail employee. If your into the outdoors and skiing and or boarding. The bonus is a free pass and alot of the times free lessons if you need them. The wage is some of the best in town for the most part and if your lucky you can get into employee housing.
A&A motel
Heavenly makes thier own snow so there will always be skiing over Christmas regardless of natural snow
I've never been there Xmas day, but i believe they are open. Their holiday festival runs from 12/19-12/31
Um...yes... check their website
Not yet
I think it opens the week of November 16th, check then
Currently the scheduled opening day for skiing and riding on the California side will be November 19th. The gondola will be open for sightseeing ONLY for two weeks following opening day then opening for skiing and riding.
You could, but it will increase the chances of getting hurt. You could always get a lesson with an instructor. If you do decide to go without a lesson I recommend watching YouTube videos and sticking strictly to the beginner area (bunny slopes). Get a helmet!
I believe they send you a barcode through email and you scan it at heavenly where the gondolas are at.
They have lockers you can put your things in.
We had to make reservations
This Friday the 20th Heavenly will be open with limited runs ! So come and enjoy .
It's for the skiing or snowboarding.
Day before buy Online was the easiest. Then take same, credit card, ID, go to will call at base of mountain. Or sameday just but after standing in a long line.
It should be on their website. We bought a week ski pass, not an individual ride. Great view about 2/3 of the way up. There is a lift station & viewing platform.
That was my experience too; it is just 1 time. There was also a specific time slots the day I went as they were super crowded.
