Well, there are many factors that go into determining such a broad question as this. Tattoo pricing generally goes by the amount of time and detail that goes into a piece, which is to also say size and quality. The actual placement of a tattoo may be a factor for artists but is far less a price consideration as the actual art being rendered. A consultation is what you need to do to discuss with the artist just what is right for you. If price is your biggest worry, my advice, especially with tattooing, is this; save up. Price should not be the biggest factor for a tattoo- quality should be. Having spent countless hours under a gun; cheap tattoos do not make for good tattoos and you pay for it later anyway.
