We attempted to visit this location for the first time today and were prevented from doing so by the irate resident of 150 Akron Street. It was my intent to pull my vehicle into the building’s rear drive to better assist my handi-capable passenger exit and enter both vehicle and building as easily as possible. Unfortunately for us, the resident/driver of a blue minivan leaving 150 refused this by positioning their vehicle in the middle of the street, blocking the drive. Resident/Driver then began chatting with another resident who was standing outside the vehicle. I’d since pulled next to the curb and waited patiently for the driver to move along. After about 10-15 minutes the resident/driver pulled along side my vehicle and began screaming at me that I was on a one way street in THIER neighborhood; where there are children and pets living as if I were endangering the welfare of either! Coincidentally, I would also like to state that I had a child and my dog with us also. I couldn’t believe this person yelling profanities at me instead of taking a kind moment to consider anyone or anything outside of their very narrow field of vision. After the driver/resident drove off leaving myself and my passengers completely bewildered we felt it not 100% safe to park or even remain in the vicinity of that residence. This was certainly none of State Farm’s fault and onlyI wish to warn others that SF patrons are not welcome in that neighborhood or should I say more specifically, by those particular neighbors!
