Stayed for an 11-day work trip with a team of coworkers. Bed is super comfortable and shower is perfect. Neutrogena toiletries are good quality. Housekeeping comes every couple of days to refresh towels and make the bed. Having a kitchen and full-size fridge/freezer was perfect. Breakfast is decent, really liked the scrambled eggs with Swiss cheese & chives. Outside patio with the fire pit is really nice at night and the hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a long day. Located near plenty of restaurants and shops, close to the highway but not SO close that there’s too much noise. Staff is friendly. Definitely recommend.

-mold I'm shower -room looked like it had not been cleaned in a long while. Curtains and lamps askew. -dresser in room chipped on every drawer looked ready for trash - bed was supposed to be a king. I'm 5'3" feet at end of bed. My husband's hung over by a lot. Bed very lumpy. -used bar soap on top of shower door along with used shampoo - carpet not vacuumed recently -tags and strings on floor in front of vanity. Dirt in corners on each side of vanity -when exiting elevator room 209 had huge damage to door. Kind of scary. Looked like someone had taken an are to the door. - no TP or tissues in room on arrival -front desk check in person indifferent at check in. I took photos of all cause I was Shocked by the whole thing. There were several ball teams staying there. It was very kaotic. -

Had an emergency, needed to change the reservation. They basically said “don’t care”. So they charged us a fee. It felt cruel and discompassionate. Sort of blown away by the whole scenario. I felt like this review is the only control I had in the situation.

Update: And even worse response by the owner. The fact that they're just going to use it as a learning experience is not adequate for someone who is a member I already stated I would not be using their hotel and they did nothing as a response. Does not matter if you are a Hilton Gold member at this location. They don't offer evening receptions (only Wednesday), I was not allowed a late check out, and they charged me $6 for my COMPLIMENTARY water. Really left no reason for us to book here in our 10-20 trips to Ankeny each year. Service & fulfilling loyalty are HUGE.
