We stopped here based on my husband's boss' recommendation. I knew there would be taxidermy, but I was unsettled when entering. It's very dark inside with A LOT of dead animals. It sparked an interesting conversation about hunting/trophy hunting. I hated that there was a severed elephant foot with a chain around it as decor. Not my ideal place to eat a meal. That being said, the food was good and so was our server.

What a great find. Total mom and pops type of place you want to find after being on a 10 day road trip to Vegas and back fron Boston. We enjoyed every bit of our food. My boneless ribeye was cooked perfectly with just enough seasoning. The big Ole Polar Bear is quite the site to see. If you find yourself on Rt 80 in Paxton, NE stop on in and enjoy some great home cooking.

This is a treat to take in that is full of local history of Paxton and the bar and steakhouse. If you have the time then take it. Well worth coming again. A bit on the pricey side. $50 for ribeyes.

Interesting stop at this Big Game famous restaurant. The sirloin steak was delicious and our other food was great as well. Tons of stuffed animals to gaze at while you dine. Friendly staff and great service. Family owned/operated for 3 generations. Would recommend stopping if you're in the area (Paxton)

There are some grain silos you can park by the walk about a block to the restaurant.
I wore a mask and saw several others doing the same including the staff. They were also very helpful and doing extra cleaning.
Yes, we do cater. Please call me at 308-289-6603 and we can discuss what you would like and I can send a proposal. Thanks. Tim Holzfaster. Ole’s Big Game Steakhouse.
Probably not unless it is a large group, 10 or more. Thanks, Tim H, owner
We are open every morning at 7:00 am MST. Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM MST. Thanks, Tim H. owner
There is a lot on the menu that isn't red meat. There's even options that don't have any meat.
There's complete dinners. You can find their menu here: www.olesbiggame.com/#menu
Yes they do & they throw down with a heaping plate. The food is delicious & great service!
There is a large parking lot by grain bins about a block before the resturant. We parked our motorhomes there.
Go to the restaurant they'd be happy to help. If you can't make it there I'm sure you could call.
