Edison Park Fest is a big summer tradition in the Edison Park neighborhood of Chicago. They did not have the festival in 2020 due to the pandemic, so we will see if it happens in 2021. It is a big community event where many local vendors display their goods and services. You can usually buy everything from clothes, accessories, sports apparel, jewelry, bath products, pet items, and more. Local businesses such as doctors, travel agents, photographers, etc also have booths for information about their services. Of course there is food. Lots of carnival type food, as well as local restaurants offering pizza, sandwiches, etc. There is an adult beverage area too, selling beer and wine, sometimes hard cider. The live music is really great. They always have bands from the area and there are many genres, something for everyone. There are also activities for children. It gets very crowded, and often messy, but it's a summer tradition here. One cautionary note: If you live right by the festival area, be prepared for noise late into the night. The usually fest closes around 10 pm or so (?) but often some scattered people loiter around for a few hours and get rowdy (drunk).
