Ignore the 1 star reviews, clearly these people are spoiled with the new commercial type gyms. Yes, it is true this LA Fitness has old machines but that is what makes this place unique. The older machines actually feel more better and natural to use then the more modern machines. I want to remind people that these are the same machines that the famous Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone used. There is a difference aura in this gym that is incomparable to the other gyms I have been to. Yes it is also true that the dumbbells are mixed up but honestly it is a small inconvenience and not as much as a big deal as these reviews claim it is. Any gym you go to will obviously have it's small inconveniences, no gym is perfect. Staff has not been rude to me or my gym buddy in any type of way. Whenever we had any questions/problems they were more then happy to help. Plates ARE NOT thrown/lying around like these reviews claim. If you are looking for a more commercial gym then I would instead recommend you go to the locations on Addison or Elston. But if you are looking for a more old school style of a gym then I would highly recommend this one!

Run down equip , the receptionist is hi and bye won't even look at you. To be get to the sauna is a trip and is in front of the water pool🤦 it needs a renovation for sure. Literally every piece of equipment is old . Some elliptic machines squeak..

Did the gym post this inside gym? I don't see it on their website that they're closing? Thanks! **Update 3/16/2020** I called the gym and the info Ramon shared for LA Fitness in Florida is the same for Chicago. LA Fitness gym in Chicago on Cumberland is closed until April 1, 2020.
