I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while, but was feeling particularly moved by this sensational (and reasonably priced) bottle of wine I’m enjoying right now (Rosier Coteau du Loir 2020). Independent Spirits is special. Scott, the owner, is a connoisseur without the pretension you might expect from someone who knows SO MUCH about wine and spirits. If you or someone you love wants to enrich their wine and spirits knowledge, Independent Spirits provides a friendly, welcoming, and well-stocked library (for all budgets). Seriously I’ve had knock-outs for $13-15, and I’ve had life changing wines for a little bit more, but the point is - take some extra time, skip the temptation of convenience the next time you need a special bottle or when you are in the mood to be surprised, and go to Independent Spirits. P.S. the music is always good, the carefully hand written labels explaining the bottles are super helpful, and the lighting and furnishings enhance the browsing experience.
