We visit Bath and Body works every quarter to stock up on wall plug scents. Saturday was our normal outing. We walked in and grabbed 6 scents and headed to checkout. As we walked up, I noticed there was a sale. I told my wife and she decided to grab more scents. I was already at the counter with the employee, Taylor. My wife comes back and I said I think that's a different scent from the one we get. Taylor confirmed the scent was incorrect and told us where to get the right scent. I went to get the scent. I returned and said you had 6, yeah? Wife said yes. I said okay, great because I grabbed 6. Taylor said okay you have 6 already. We said yep so this is 12. As she rang the first scent, I heard the scanner beep twice. I said it scanned twice. My wife stopped me and said babe, she'll handle it at the end. I said okay. Checkout ends and the screen shows "Qty 13". Taylor doesn't mention it. So I said the screen shows 13. She said with defiance "I rang up 12." I repeated myself and said okay but I'm looking at the screen and it says 13. Taylor then counts item by item using the screen. She says I counted the list on the screen 5 times and it's 12. My wife and I both say the screen says 13. Taylor then accuses us of yelling at her. I said please, tell me when we yelled? We are literally telling you what the screen says. Her coworker beside her looks at me and says it's okay. I'll handle it. Taylor continues to state we're screaming at her, she won't be screamed at today. We're looking at her and asking okay... But are you going to fix the item quantity to 12. By this time she said she can get her manager. She didn't. She removed two items. Then became more upset when we said okay it says 11 now but we have 12. Who gets upset because the customer wants to pay for the correct amount of product? She told us to step aside and she'd get the manager. She didn't. She rang up the next customer. Her coworker looked at me stepped away from her customer, and went to get the manager. I'm appalled at Taylor's behavior. At no point was she yelled at. She escalated the situation from the moment I said there's 13 items on the screen but we have 12. If a person can't handle technology and be nice during customer service, they're probably working the wrong job.
