I went in to ask if they offered any dairy free ice cream for my child with an allergy. The woman working was awful! She told me the sorbet didn’t have milk but laughed saying they sure had a lot of sugar. I then was checking to see if any ice cream accidentally fell into the container, as they were next to each other…she said “ma’am, these don’t have dairy”. I then asked her to use a new clean scoop and she refused telling me that the scoops were in disinfectant!!! My child cannot have a scoop that scooped out ice cream and put into a water container. Completely unacceptable! She then said “I don’t know what to tell you -maybe try Whole Foods”. Needless to say we left without buying anything!!

I love this place. We have been going to the Deerfield location for 16 years now but this last visit today was so terrible I had to write a review. The girl working the counter was obviously miserable and unhappy to be there. She rolled her eyes and sighed at everything. Terrible customer service and RUDE!!! Very disappointed because I had never had this kind of experience here. Later I used the only bathroom they had and when another customer needed to know if someone was inside she kicked the door rather than knocking. I know it was her because I could hear them from inside the bathroom. I know it was a Sunday but if she’s the only person for that shift it’s almost better not to even bother opening the store for such rotten service! I will go back for their amazing ice creams but in all honesty hopefully they can hire better personnel.

Definitely the ice cream in this place is simply delicious and the chocolates are not even worth mentioning! The prices are a bit high, but I guess the quality is worth it. It has a wide variety of sweets and chocolates as well as the flavors of ice cream
