My Girlfriend and I moved in after college into a 1 bedroom. Middle floor. It was a great starter apartment. Just a walk away from stores and downtown Kutztown. Janet at the front office is absolutely amazing!!! They send out little goodie bags for holidays. Have emails sent about contests for halloween, christmas, easter. Maintenance i'm pretty sure lives on sight (?!?) because they are walking in and out of apartment buildings ALL THE TIME. Sadly the week we left they had started renovations on the outside and inside of all apartments (Beautiful upgrades from what we previously had) and we did not get to experience those. A great place to live in a great location. The only negative is a lot of the residence we lived with were rude and not considerate that their were thin walls and floors we all shared... made living there really lonely, especially during the pandemic. All in all 5 stars is deserved for having Janet!

MOLD ALERT I got flooded out of my first floor apartment by a 5 inch rain event (large but not unheard of), as did the other two families on my floor, including children under 5. There was only one sump pump in the building, which was overwhelmed by the storm. There was also mold on my luggage and computer bag throughout my stay; they were sitting on the floor. They charged me $50 for the date I got flooded out when they gave me my security deposit back (I was flooded out on the 1st of a month). In addition to my experience in 2021, I understand that my apartment was flooded out in 2020 as well. Not a healthy place for you or your lungs.

My husband and I came here to Kutztown in 2015 to continue our education at Kutztown University. We were looking for a community that wasn't too far from the university but far enough away to not have to deal with the partying younger crowds as we are in our 40's. We were also looking for that country feel but with some modern technology. Kutztown Gardens has been a wonderful place to live in. It was great to be in a place that was just a half-hour in either direction to small cities but still have that close town feel here. It was also great to live in a college town as there is always something fun going on to keep yourself busy. We are moving to California at the end of December and we will miss this wonderful place and the friends we have made here but we are happy to have been able to experience it.
