We recently adopted our dog, Ember, from Second Chance. Rhonda, the owner of the establishment, was so kind and incredible in every imaginable way. She was very patient with us and gave us all the time we needed to get to know Ember before we made the big decision to adopt! It's obvious how much Rhonda loves each and every animal in the shelter, yet she is well informed about the different challenges that come with adopting a new pet. Ember has turned out to be the absolute sweetest, most perfect dog and we couldn't be happier. We are infinitely glad that we chose to adopt through Second Chance for Homeless Pets! Highly recommended ★★★★★

We were looking for a kitty after our 17 year old Maltese dog passed away. We discovered Sacond Chance Homeless Pets online and went to check out their cats and found a black and white kitty named Stone. We were ready to take him home but ran into a snag when we were informed that he was under quarantine for 14 days because he bit the person who was attempting to give him a rabies shot. So we anxiously waited the 14 days and came back and adopted Stone. He has turned out to be a delightful and very loving cat and the best part is he doesn't shed! Thanks to the folks at Second Chance for the great care they take with their cats.

Quick and easy! Went here for my pups shots and through the whole process they were quick and efficient with no complications.

Why?
Good luck
Always!
Our blanket cupboard is stuffed full, but thanks for thinking of us!
We pay for all our animals to recieve quality vet care before adoption. Spay/neuter surgery, full series of vaccinations, deworming, and any treatments deemed necessary. Therefore we cannot offer free adoptions
I'm sorry, we are only a dog and cat rescue
We do not currently have any baby dogs, but we get them very frequently. Please watch our website www.utahpetadoptions.org
I'm sorry, we do not. We are only dog and cat
We cannot accept stray and/or abandoned animals
We are a dog and cat rescue only
We are not currently open for volunteers or walk ins yet due to Covid and construction. We hope to re open June 1st

Call and ask. They have a man come and check dogs out to go for a run.
A good start to see what they have is their website. But they don't focus on any particular breed, age, or size of dog. Hope this helps!
They do. They have volunteer training work shops that they put on. I would check with him though. Because they may do a private training as well. It is a great organization. With great people.
We do not have any currently at our shelter
