Growing up, the reputation was that the water is dirty. Not true! The water was warm and clean. Perfect for a day of light boating/kayaking/paddle boarding. Make sure you have a permit, though.

Round Valley is always a great place to have some fun and relax. Paddle boarding, Kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing, snorkeling or just walking around the reservoir with that stunning background is 100% sure of a good day outside. Water is crystal clear as you can see on the picture! Just don’t forget to get whatever you bring in, out. Never leave your garbage behind there (or any other park or lake)

It is low but you can still launch. I launched this past Thursday and again on Sunday. I have a 16 ft wood boat but there were larger, heavier boats launching on Sunday. Keep your motor up to keep your prop out of the mud when launching. Pick a spot near the center of the launch area or to the left, the right side is too steep.

Yes, it is. But the water level is still low, so you are basically launching on gravel, until construction is finished.
