This park is wonderful. Rented a Pavillion for a party. Large space, tables and grill. The beach or swim area is well maintained. Life guard on duty. Clean restrooms. Lots of trails and bike paths. Great back on rv spots. I stayed in a tent. Large tent spots, well shaded, fire pit. Bathhouse. Great view if the lake. Serene, perfect place to relax

It is very quiet and lots of hiking trails, a beach area, lots of space for our 39' 5th wheel, full services, picnic table and fire pit. We were here the end of January on our way to Arizona and again on our way back home in April.

Went this past Saturday, March 5, 2022. Park is clean and very family friendly. Unfortunately, we had to leave because my friend's son ended up breaking his leg, but they gave us a voucher to come back and try again. We are excited to go back. The bathrooms at the tent site are super clean and they have showers. The paved trail around the lake is well kept and clean. There's a playground for kids. Overall, the short time we were there, we had fun. Highly recommend.

Very nice park... they are in the process of updating the sites. Along the lake most of the sites are extra wide with nice concrete pads. The new pull thrus are narrow but still concrete with full hookups.

Yes there are 12 miles of hiking/biking trails.. A beginners and experts trail..
Yes we have 12 tent sites, each has 110 power, WiFi, fire ring, and picnic table. Currently $17 per day.
Prices vary from $40 to $150, depending on the size and amenities. For details please call 318-251-5156 between 8am and 5pm
Unfortunately we do not give any discounts in the campground. We believe $17(up to 3 tents per site) for primitive tent camping is very reasonable. To make a reservation please call 318-251-5156 between 8am and 5pm.
The deepest area is out in front of the dam and it is about 20 feet deep.
To get the most up-to-date information you can check on Facebook. They do a really good job of posting updates.
I am pretty sure its 60 a day.. They have electricity and water.. You also have access to the beach swimming area and kids playground.. Great place for reunions..
Its 25 dollars a day no matter how long you stay. If you stay longer than 14 days you have to fill out paperwork for an extended stay..
Family: $75 Individual: $50 Student: $40
Yes the pavilions have outlets and they have grills at some.. And i think the water gets up to like 4.5 or 5 ft..
No, there's no motor boats on the lake
They have electric, water and sewage at each RV sites. All sites have large concrete pads. They have a nice tent area with a bath house close by. Fishing is allowed not sure on all restrictions but I have seen people keep what they catch. Bike paths are in the top 100 in the nation. Walking paths, beach and playground for small, big and handicapped children. It's a much on your camping list. Town of Ruston is close for dinning, shopping and anything you need.
Yes, however electric scooters must remain on the park roads and riders must observe the speed limits and wear and helmet.
We have a two week maximum stay. To make a reservation please call 318-251-5156
No. This is a smaller pond. North of Ruston not South
We have 33 sites, each has water, sewage, and 30 & 50 amp power.
Bass and bluegill
Unfortunately not.
Helmets are required of anyone riding a bicycle on park property, regardless of where in the park they choose to ride.
There is 110 power at each tent site, however there are no water faucets at each site. There is a faucet at the comfort station.
Michael Brame, we do not have any specially designated "Boy Scout" tent sites. We have 12 tent sites and the are all priced at $17 per night.
They have paper copies at the entrance building. You can also find them on the MTB Project and Singletrack Apps/websites.
No, the park is just a park/campsite. No shops.
I believe it's 8am check in and 3pm out
Fishing(with license)) .no hunting
You can. They have huge pavilions that you can rent fairly cheap if you call them ahead of time. Most of them have grills and electricity but not sure if they have water.
Not sure about specific area just for dogs but everywhere I've been in park is pet friendly
No alcohol allowed.
If you mean the beach area (not sure whether there is any other place at the park where you can swim), it's only open on saturdays and I don't think it's really a place for "swimmers". You will usually see families bathing in the water on weekends.
25-30 per night, many sites are lakeside
It's $3 per person. The beach will usually open on Memorial Day weekend. Hours will follow the quiet time rule, mostly.
1.25 miles if you go along the sidewalk around the peninsula. If you take the shortcut over the hill it is closer to 1 mile.
Yes, but be aware of bikes as the path is not crazy wide in spots.
Swimming opens in state parks on Memorial Day and closes the first of August with conditional use from August 1st thru Labor Day.
