Didn't like that my belongings were being moved about the room while I was away working. It's in the middle of nowhere basically.

CRINGE-DAD BORN-AUTOCRAT

This hotel was a haven for me. I properly provisioned myself and my Shar Peis, after having decided to wait out a rapidly approaching High Plains Blizzard. Forget about it!!! The room was cozy/bulwark, clean, and the water pressure was strong. The proprietor was warm and welcoming - in the face of the nascent howls of an icy wind. We waited out the storm - which was super gnarly - and enjoyed Julesburg while doing so. I would pointedly travel to Julesburg Colorado anytime!!! Naturally, I would stay at Budget Host Platte Valley Inn.

The Asian guy receptionist was very heartless. He basically extorted us in paying for an extra night. Check out time was 11am and our car was getting repaired. They needed a couple more hours to finish the car. My wife and I had an infant daughter and we requested to wait in the lobby till the car was ready. He said no and offered more than half the amount to wait in a hotel room instead. Since the weather outside was extremely cold and windy we had no choice but to agree. Can’t believe money hungry people like him exist!

The front desk lady was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were dated and stained but clean. The biggest issue was that the mattresses clearly rode to Colorado in the back of a wagon train and the pillows were clearly bought during the Mccarthy witch hunts. It was not a bad experience, but not in the top ten either.
