Used to love this bank, but now they put holds on any check you deposit. I’ve never had a hold put on a check with such a small amount available before. No communication telling members that either. Looking at switching banks after having them for 10+ years now as this is going to make bills late.

I like metro as a loan company and I got a good deal on an auto loan from them. What I don’t recommend to anyone is to open a checking account with them. They are so behind the times. My debit card number was stolen 4 separate times. I recently discovered hundreds of dollars of fraudulent charges from my checking account. I’m an older person and only recently signed up for the online banking. I am so sick to my stomach about the amount of money that has been stolen from my account because Metro is so very lacking in security. My daughter was so shocked trying to help me and she has Wells Fargo and they block fraudulent charges and alert her immediately. When I asked Metro why my card number has been stolen 4 times, the representative I spoke to said, “well I guess we don’t have good security” it saddens me to say that I don’t think my money is safe here and Metro really needs to step it up in terms of security. I will probably move my money to a more secure bank.

Terrible bank, they hold your checks even if you've been banking with them for 15 years. no more drive threws, hours are ridiculous. Fees are insane. Never bank here people. You'll regret it
