Absolute worst experience trading in our vehicle. We had no idea we were trading in our Buick LaCrosse for a car that would have so many problems (most of which were the employees fault.) The first problem is that the carhop employee had us sign Nebraska paperwork instead of Iowa so we had to return to carhop to sign the proper paperwork. After trying to drive the vehicle we noticed the headlights didn’t work. When we contacted them they said that they would fix it at their shop. We took it in to find out that their fix only included electrical tape over exposed wiring. Not exactly a proper fix so of course the light went out just a couple days later. Not only that, but to look at the lights the bumper had to come off. To our surprise about a week or so after the electrical tape was put on, our bumper falls off while we’re driving. When we brought this up with the employee that “fixed” the wiring, she admitted to noticing some clips were missing but chose to say and do nothing about it. Next issue we had was waiting for our plates. I was told by a carhop employee to contact the county treasurer. When I did I was informed that carhop did not write in the odometer reading on the paperwork and the county sent the paperwork back on June 17th. Then carhop sends out a check for the wrong amount and needed a new check that we are still waiting on today. So this car is sitting outside my home unlicensed with expired in-transits. When I contacted the manager Elaina, she was unhelpful in the entire matter. She told me somehow the paperwork being wrong was my fault. When I asked her what happens if this car get a ticket for sitting unlicensed she said that it would be my fault and that I would be paying it. Then she goes on to tell me that I could bring the car back and not get my trade in back. How does that make any sense at all? Overall very disappointed in the entire service and lack of customer support at this location. Also it’s nice to see that my review is the only one that did not get a response from carhop. What a joke!
