Fun place to go swimming or practice your kayaking. Well placed picnic tables make it really easy to use as a recreation area for people who have difficulty with mobility.

A family favorite! There is a good sized pond and it is pretty warm. We float in it, some people kayak, others float on their boards. It can get pretty packed though when it is hot and on the weekends. Basically, all summer it is packed. If you don't mind the crowd though, and everyone shares, there is room for everyone.

I grew up up here, spent my childhood running around this place. I literally hadn't been back for 25 years until now. I didnt recognize it......now there are restaurants and breweries. The place was still fun and relaxing, a great spot for the kids.

I've been bringing my children here for 15 years and it's a good place for a fun water area. It's usually pretty busy, so unless you happen to come on a slow day, be prepared to claim a relatively small space in the sand (There are several covered picnic tables, and BBQ areas, but they are also almost always claimed.) The beach area is okay. There's usually some garbage, but it's mostly clean. You're not supposed to bring dogs, but there's usually someone who doesn't think the rules apply to them and bring their dogs anyways. There are porta potties and outdoor restrooms. Nothing fancy, but they'll do the job. There's also a dock to jump off, a little fishing dock, occasional ducks and I believe there's a volleyball court, so there's quite a few things here other than water and sand. There's also the occasional drinking, smoking, swearing group of teens/young adults, so just be prepared for that possibility. It's usually not bad, but I've definitely witnessed a fair amount of rambunctious behaviorover the years. Still, my little ones enjoy playing in the sand, splashing in the water and watching the occasional train and plane pass close by while they play. For a small mountain town, it's a good "Beach" area.

No they are not. Drove over here and there are signs posted everywhere dogs are not allowed even on leash
Fresh water springs seep into the pond to provide a normal flow of new water, plus seepage from the adjacent East Gallatin River also contributes some flow during peak spring runoff time
Yes...they arent the best fish but yes you can keep them
