I had left a review on Health Grades but this psychologist must have "renewed" the profile and now she has no reviews. I am only coming back after this long because to this day there are so few reviews of what her practice is actually like that I would like others to know what they are getting into when they sign up for therapy with this individual. It's been nearly 18 months since I met with her and this has been the worst service I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. I had my session 09/2020 and that was the worst therapy session ever, and it was my first and last session with her. Not only was it a mess in her office, it was very uninviting. She kept yawning during the session, completely dismissed my issues which btw at the time I had lots of postpartum depression symptoms and she dismissed everything to "exercise more, read a book, try to give yourself more me time from the baby". She even suggested I change my baby from formula to breastmilk (is she my baby's doctor??) - no real solutions, no coping skills tools, etc. She stated the most obvious stuff that I could have found online. Then she answered a client's call and put it on speaker where i heard everything. She seemed really annoyed that the client had to reschedule and then confirmed the client's new appointment time and date in front of me. This has got to be some kind of patient/client violation. After that happened, we continued and at every moment I felt dismissed. She kept looking at her watch and then 25 minutes before my time was up, i realized that she was rushing this along and we ended the session. She asked if I felt like my issues were resolved, and after getting dismissed and going unheard throughout the session i decided that this was the end of my session with her. I cannot believe this person gets to counsel patients in the mental health field. She is doing more harm than good. This had been my first session ever, and I am glad I decided to look for a different therapist but people like her are the reason why therapy has a bad stigma. I also reported her to my health insurance and received a letter that she had denied all allegations and gave some excuse as to why she was tired during my session. Avoid her at all cost. She has gotten bad reviews before but she has somehow scrubbed them. If you need mental health help, talking to anybody would be more helpful than her.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a Counselor. The room was a mess, and she wasn’t ready for me. She interrupted me constantly and shockingly started defending the very people I was in there needing to talk about. She invalidated my feelings at every turn and TRIED TO END THE SESSION 30MIN EARLY. She got up in the middle of the session and starts to schedule my next apt on the computer out of no where. Then she goes “sooo is there anything else you need to talk about? Or do you want to call it a day?” I was like… ummm I was in the middle of talking. I eventually got up and left. It was unbelievable. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

A psychologist has a doctorate degree i.e. PhD and a counselor has a master's degree along with a license to practice. For most people looking for therapy or counseling, a psychologist is not recommended since they focus on evaluation instead of psychological testing which counselors specialize in through therapy sessions. Hence, one does not need to always go to a psychologist since they charge more than counselors.
No just counselors
