My family has been coming to Willow Valley for 38 years now. Several generations have loved getting together each May. The cabins haven't been updated much in the past 38 years. They do now have TV, wifi, dishwasher, microwave. They could use some bathroom renovations. I'm sure we will continue to come each May.

We rented one of the condos. Overall, we probably won't return but had a generally pleasant experience. Cons: All of the kitchen appliances were ancient but functional. Literally none of the cabinet doors worked like how they should. The condo itself looked and smelled like generations of smokers had lived there. Housekeeping service costs $35 extra. It seemed like no one had stayed there for a long time and the bed linens were stale. Pros: It's close to several grocery stores and things to do. There is a golf course on site and it looks better maintained than the condo. Check in and out was easy.

Stayed in chalet 16 and it was clean and comfortable. Yes, the place is a bit dated but everything worked. Only disappointment we had was that some kitchen essentials were not included but that was not a big deal. Pool and hot tub were nice to visit. The location is also good and allowed us to easily drive to Appalachian Ski Mountain, Linville Caverns and some hikes to nearby waterfalls. Service from the people at the front desk was great and they really helped me out a lot when I accidentally left my travel bag in our room after we left; they went out of their way to get my bag shipped to my home. Thanks!!

I had reserved a cabin but was given a condo. Upon entering E215 it was like stepping back into 1975! Kitchen was ugly, several drawers you couldn’t open because of stove and dishwasher was in the way. That’s how old the cabinets and layout is. Both bathrooms were also dated and worn out. The tub had sliding doors at one time but we’re gone with holes left in the tub walls. No decor. One bed sagged in the middle, the other bed creaked with just moving your feet. We used RCI points for our cabin reservation 44,000 wasted points. We left early and will not be back!
