Pulled into town around 10pm, walked into a chain-type place as it was closing and the bartender recommended Pine Lakes Tavern. We loved every second we were there. Great service. Great vibes. Crowd was older and chill. Shaun Brown was kicking out the jams... in a mellow acoustic type of way. And I can't be certain, but I'm pretty sure Bruce Springsteen was drinking at the bar! The burger was just what I needed after a 4-hour drive, and the bill was beyond reasonable! The perfect pit stop before we checked into our room! I will be stopping here everytime I come to Myrtle Beach.

This place was nicer then it looks they really need to advertise more they are on a pretty lake. We ate outside. Bar maid was a little off her game in the beginning but she got better I think basically just locals go there. But it's worth checking out delicious food. Few bathrooms. It looks like a dive bar but it's definitely much more then that. Should check it out if your in the area looking for a local place and not the chain restaurant.

We’ve enjoyed this local’s spot for a long time. The staff is amazing, especially Aaron and Sissy. The drinks are on point every time. The food is great, but the nightly specials are phenomenal. Tonight we had the absolutely most perfectly prepared NY strip with asparagus and parmesan potatoes. The steak had a char like I haven’t seen anywhere else in town and was cooked to exactly the right temperature. It was tender enough that you could have cut it with a butter knife. It was well seasoned and not overly salted. And the biggest bonus for me is that there are plenty of options to accommodate a gluten free diet.

I would have given 5 stars if the place on the outside matched what was inside. When we pulled up, I almost didn't want to go in, but I am glad we did. We had the pork sliders for $8.00. They were huge! I couldn't believe how much pork was on the buns and it was yummy!!. We sat at the bar and loved the rolling low chairs, so comfortable. I would recommend this place, just don't let the outside deter you.
