My cat ended up developing a major internalized infection at the site of her incision, and there was no way I would’ve known had it not burst from the pressure of the discharge buildup. This occurred five days after the initial procedure, and I had been checking frequently to ensure nothing was amiss. Prior to this event, she was dealing with severe constipation that was most likely brought on by anesthesia– which she was very clearly given too much of, as it’s effects lasted for three of those five days before she was ultimately sent to an animal hospital. Really, I should’ve known something was wrong when I first saw how sloppy the actual stitching was. There was no attempt to clean the area before sending her home. I’m sure in the past it was a lovely establishment, but looking at what I’ve experienced (and from the reviews, the similarly terrible services), malpractice seems to have suddenly become a more pressing matter as of this year. It would probably be cheaper in the end for a pet owner to see their local vet rather than this place. I’m now paying an additional 1k for her recovery.
